FEATURE ON KXEL

Our own Nancy Hill Cobb was interviewed recently on News/Talk 1540 KXEL about “The Suffragist”, what the process of creating a musical has been like amidst a pandemic, and what our audience can expect when they see the world premiere in July. Nancy also spoke about some key cast members, including two Waterloo natives: MaKayla McDonald and Joel Waggoner!

The right to vote for women was not a battle that was easily won. In this interview, Nancy recalls her first exposure to this revolutionary history and how shocked she was to learn stories that she never was told while growing up. Five years in the making, this new American musical is finally set to premiere at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center this July.
